We launched the year with our 28-Day Plant-Based Kick Start, a four-part series that helped individuals across the country begin the year focused on healthier eating and sustainable lifestyle changes. The energy, engagement, and commitment we saw were inspiring — and a clear reminder that people are ready to take control of their health when given the right tools and support.
Following that momentum, we hosted our National Low Vision Virtual Town Hall, bringing together leaders in vision care to discuss the latest trends and technologies making a difference for people with vision impairment. This year, we expanded the conversation by including faculty from Low Vision departments at three optometry schools across the nation, offering a broader, richer perspective than ever before. The turnout was incredible, and the discussions were insightful — reinforcing our belief that access to information and innovation is key to improving lives.
Looking ahead, we have some big moments on the horizon:
As we continue to grow, we’re calling on you to be a part of this mission. If you believe in what we do — reducing health disparities and expanding access to care — we ask you to become a monthly supporter. Your ongoing contributions allow us to plan ahead, reach further, and serve more. You can also choose to make a one-time gift — every donation makes a difference.
To those who have supported us — thank you. You’re helping us build healthier, stronger communities every day.
Let’s keep moving forward — together.
With gratitude,
Dr. Ansel T. Johnson
